Marketing Manager – Part-time

HYBRID POSITION

The Marketing Manager works closely with the Executive Director and Program Director to promote Sharing Kindness’ programs and spread awareness of its message to the Cape & Islands community. This is a 20-25-hour-per-week position that is mostly remote, with 1-2 days per week at our South Harwich office required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule content for Sharing Kindness’ social media accounts
  • Manage accounts by engaging with followers, updating Instagram and Facebook stories, and interacting with community partners
  • Manage content on Sharingkindness.org: post blogs and upcoming events, create web pages for new programs, and update information as needed  
  • Write and send press releases promoting upcoming events to local media and post on their online calendars
  • Create and send out quarterly newsletter, The Kindness Report, as well as e-blasts promoting events, programs, and volunteer needs
  • Design all digital and print marketing materials, such as flyers, postcards, rack cards, and brochures
  • Take photos and videos of Sharing Kindness events and trainings
  • Travel throughout the Cape and Islands to Sharing Kindness events may be necessary
  • Attendance at Suicide Awareness Walk in May is mandatory
  • Oversee multiple web pages for the Suicide Awareness Walk, including event registration and P2P fundraising pages via CharityProud, creating new content annually; provide registration support as needed
  • Ability to utilize analytics tools to trace campaign effectiveness, interpret metrics, optimize strategies, and report data to executive leadership
  • Create online registration forms for programs using Microsoft Forms
  • Familiarity with content marketing, SEO/Google Analytics, print advertising
  • Ability to use AI powered marketing tools as needed
  • Attendance at weekly staff meetings required, excepting holidays, illness, etc.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing role (experience at a mental health or grief-focused organization is a bonus!)
  • An understanding of grief and loss/mental health issues and ability to write about challenging topics such as suicide and child loss
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to clearly communicate with team members on projects, with effective project management skills, including projects with tight deadlines
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organization skills
  • Experience taking mobile photos/videos for professional use
  • Comfort managing content on a WordPress website
  • Creativity and an eye for design; familiarity with Canva preferred
